World Famous, in the Garden Route
ReedValley Estate is a family run business driven by a passion for people, food and wine of course...

The ReedValley family

The ReedValley farm is owned by the de Jager family. Willem and Heidi are passionate about wine and family. They have been married for more than 25 years and have two children, Michelle and Francois, who are also involved in the operations of the farm.

Michelle is a qualified chef and a proud product of the Francois Ferreira Culinary Academy. Michelle is an award winning chef and have won regional competitions and was placed 3’rd in the National Young Chef’s competition. She is the Executive Chef of the Succulent restaurant situated on the ReedValley Estate.

Francois graduated with honour from the University of Stellenbosch with a degree in Agriculture specialising in oenology and viticulture. Francois is the Estate’s winemaker and is responsible for all the EdenValley cultivars. Francois is planning to release his own estate wine under the ReedValley banner

New vineyards are planted annually under his guidance and he is well under way to realise his dream of an estate wine.

The family decided to plant vineyards 7 years ago with the aim of establishing a uniquely Garden Route wine estate. This was the reason why the family decided on EdenValley as the name for their exclusive wines.

The EdenValley range of wines can be purchased at the tasting hall on the farm and online at their online store. To ensure that the wines remain exclusive it was decided that only restaurants in the Garden Route will be allowed to stock EdenValley wines… after all…we are world famous in the Garden Route!

At ReedValley we believe that every day should end in the company of family and friends, sharing a glass of exceptional wine – a tradition that we would like to share.

We had an amazing experience at Reed Valley. The tasting was excellent, the food at succulent restaurant was excellent and our experience was made even better by our waitress Emily. Thank you all for a lovely time. We can't wait to return!

We had a lovely fun filled day at Reed Valley starting with delicious food (mussels were the best, Michelle is a talented chef) in a gorgeous scenic setting, wine tasting was a highlight (Michael was so knowledgeable and made our evening so enjoyable!) and then we were lucky enough to watch Lee Cole live in concert (what an amazing show!). Thank you Reed Valley for such a great experience! We will definitely be returning soon...
