Getting ready to attend the EdenValley Sounds of Summer concert this December? Here are our top tips to make the best of Mossel Bay’s biggest music event of the year!
1. Power Up
Make sure that your phone is fully charged before leaving home, better yet, invest in a USB battery charger.
2. FILL UP
Eat at least one solid meal at the concert or snack regularly on items offered at our food stalls – this will keep up your energy levels for all the dancing that’s going to take place!
3. THIS ONE RULE WILL SAVE YOU GRIEF
This is an outdoor event. Don’t take anything you’re not prepared to lose or damage in some way.
4. ALWAYS WEAR SUNSCREEN
Check the weather before you leave home so you know what to expect. As this is an outdoor concert, it’s best to wear comfortable shoes and remember your sunglasses and hat. ALWAYS wear sunscreen and bring a lightweight, long-sleeved shirt to protect your skin from the sun.
5. DRINK LOTS OF WATER
When you’re dancing in front of the stage to the music of Jeremy Loops it’s easy to forget to stay hydrated. Drink lots of water to make sure that you don’t feel horrible the next day. Take care of yourself and have a good time.
6. BRING A BUDDY
A music concert is always better when it’s shared with your friends. There may be a lot of people at the event so choose a designated spot to meet in case you get separated.
7. WET WIPES
Wet wipes can be a lifesaver at these type of events. Use them to wipe up spills or clean your hands after eating a saucy prego roll.
8. TAKE A SEAT
We have several benches placed around our outdoor area but in case you get there too late and they’re all filled up, it might be a good idea to bring a small picnic blanket so that you can get comfortable on our lush green lawn.
We accept all major debit cards but bring enough cash to the event. ReedValley does not support drinking and driving. Assign a designated driver before you arrive at the event or organise a taxi service. We want all our visitors to get home safely and to visit us again in 2019!
